Blindfold, from EDJ project to Best Paper Award

After Durval and Valter Alves stirred things up with onsite demos of Blindfold and the dynamic composition sound engine prototype at AudioMostly 2013, Durval Pires, Bárbara Furtado, Tiago Carregã, Luís Reis, Luís Lucas Pereira, Rui Craveirinha and Licínio Roque were awarded with the Best Paper recognition for the work titled The Blindfold Soundscape Game: A Case for Participation-Centered Gameplay Experience Design and Evaluation.

Congratulations to all those that contributed, directly and indirectly, this proves that with effort and perseverance, responding to an apparently banal course challenge, can go a long way to become a recognized research contribution. The difference is made in the way the challenge is embraced by those involved in the making and study of Blindfold.
